The Friday Political Observer's Panel - a look ahead at 2018

The Friday Political Observer's Panel - a look ahead at 2018

With the new year, we’re now eight months away from the next provincial election, but how will it shape up? That’s what I and fellow panellists Rosella Melanson and Michael Camp chewed on, on Friday’s political observer's panel on CBC Shift.

Personally, I think a sleeper issue we’re going to hear more about is tax reform, especially in regards to municipalities who want a better deal when it comes to tax dollars. But that’s only one of so many issues – government transparency or the lack thereof is another. Then there’s Brian Gallant saying no new taxes, but more spending – a tried and true election year position if there ever was one, and so much more.

For anyone who missed it and is interested in this sort of thing – here’s our panel, for your consideration.

Thanks for reading. Retweets and shares are appreciated, as are comments. What do you see as key election issues?
